The national reading competition ‘Read for my school’ finishes on Friday 28 March 2014, but it is not too late to enter. Nearly 200 children (Years 3-6) have signed up and we have read over 1,000 books- amazing! Children should add any books they have read if they have not listed them yet, or join up and add books - even at this late stage. 

What you need to do:                                                                                                     

Register your child online at http://www.readformyschool.co.uk/app/#/api/user/login. Add relevant information to register your child and then type in our school ‘Reading Group Code’, 902219.

100,000 books will be distributed by sponsors Pearson in prizes for the schools and children who read the most- so please get reading for Stanley!      

There is also an opportunity for children to submit a piece of writing online, too. Pupils are invited to watch the short video in the "Write" section of the website, which describes 'School Library in a Box', and then to write a short letter to the children in Tanzania who will receive the books.
 

Please make the most of this last week, reading books or submitting writing. We are doing brilliantly, and have just one final week to go!
